The music department at the University of Chichester organised a major online performance event inspired by a unique composition for solo piano by the eccentric avant garde French composer Erik Satie, entitled 'Vexations'. The piece lasts for approximately 18 hours and over the years has developed something of an international cult following. The music consists of one short passage repeated exactly 840 times. We setup four different cameras shooting three different art performances video blog with student, teacher and audience interviews along with live feedback. These streams were mixed into a single split screen online player in real time. The online viewer could interact with the presentations by clicking on the various sections of their computer screen.
